Public practice

We support and regulate public practitioners in New Zealand, and champion the Chartered Accountant brand to the wider business community. Guided by our Public Practice Advisory Group, we offer a suite of services, resources and professional development to help you excel.

NZICA recognition as a BAS agent association and tax agent association
The Australian Tax Practitioners Board (the Board) has confirmed it has approved the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants (NZICA) as a recognised BAS agent association and a recognised tax agent association.  This approval makes it easier for NZICA members practising in Australia to obtain Board registration to provide BAS agent or tax agent services. Find out more about the approval, and what it means for NZICA members practising in Australia.
